Don Perico Mexican Restaurant, Napa

Excellent food and service every time I come into this place. Too many favorites to list so my suggestion to you is to try something new.

The service is awful. We used to be loyal patrons, but despite the fact we would go 2-3 times per week, each time they treated us like strangers! The waiters all have a bad attitude. Good service means saying things like "nice seeing you again", " thank you for coming again"...ect. They do none of that. The food is fair. So, for us, we go down the street to Villa Corona, better food, and they remember your order!!

Despite the fact that the dish I ordered was delicious, I was disappointed with the service. Naturally, this discourages a second visit on my part, and it makes a good meal less enjoyable. We sat in a booth in the far corner of the restaurant which might have been one of the causes of lack of attention from our server. After our meal was served he never returned to our table to ask us if everything was okay. I needed another napkin desperately, but I somehow survived recycling one single napkin for the entire meal which was a little messy. Also, I needed one more condiment to compliment my meal. Unfortunately, I had to do without. The server had more than two opportunities to make a quick stop at our table to make sure we were fine, but it was apparent that the restaurant was busy with customers. My take on this is that the owners try to save money by hiring family or acquaintances to serve tables. On top of this they keep the restaurant understaffed in order to give their current servers full-time work. After feeling desperate because our server had not brought our check, I finally headed to the cash register to let them know I was ready to pay. What a disappointment. Please, Don Perico, polish up on modern day customer service.

Goodofood with a reasonable price. The chips and salsa were always refilled and the food served hot. I like mexican food and this is one of the best I have found in Napa.

This is a great spot for mexican dinners downtown. Their enchiladas are really good. While they are not my absolute favorite in Napa (El Gudalajara - yummy!), this place is a good standby. I would definitely recommend it.

Dumpy on the inside. Great patio. Great Service. And the BEST mexican in Napa Valley. The quentisential LOCALS hole in the wall.

Don Perico is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Napa. The food is good, but not too spicy unless you want it that way. They serve entrees that will cater to traditionalists, seafood lovers, and even vegetarians. They have great lunch specials during the week and the fajitas are terrific. It's a popular spot for locals who work downtown as well as tourists finding them on First Street. The service is always friendly and prompt.

This is the best Mexican food in Napa! We had our wedding reception here with about 20 people. They are nice, give fast service, food is wonderful, chips and salsa are fantastic. Try the deep fried ice cream for dessert, it's awesome! Great place, you will want to go back again and again.

I have only lived in Napa since October 2007, and I can say that this place is my favorite place in the North Bay. Everything that I have tried is outstanding. Chicken Chimachanga being my favorite. THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB!
