Korea House Restaurant, Hayward

Lets just say that i have never been so insulted in my life! Needless to say with all Korean restaurants the banchan are free when you by a meal. Hm-mm well we bought two dinner entrees, an appetizer and a cocktail and could not get more than 4 items refilled with a dirty glare and a rude comment that we cant get more than 4 and when i called the lady over she was two tables away from me and i had to wave her to come closer (all i wanted was some radish!). Sad to say that my boyfriend was very pleased with his meal but we will never be back here!

The food was great but there was a lot ot be desired for the service. Maybe I'm just being too sensitive but the feeling I got was preferential treatment was given to other patrons for one reason or another. We opted for the table where you grill your own food. After being seated and menu given to us, we patiently waited for someone to take our order. Noticing that other patrons who got seated after us were being served first, I decided to get up to ask if someone was going to take our order. When someone finally arrived, we explained that it was our first time and needed help ordering. All we were told was we needed to order at least 2 items from a particular list. We eventually got our orders. The meat and poultry were all in big whole portions but we weren't given anything to cut. All we had was our chopsticks, fork and soup spoon. We also didn't have a tong or something to grill. Rather than wait for someone we just got up and grabbed one from their utensils table. We did get a taste of the appetizers but were not told if we can get more or asked if we wanted more. The food was good but for the price and service we got I can name a number of other places that are better. There are places that charge the same price but with way more selection and better service. I'm sorry but for some reason, while there, we kept on thinking we should have just went to Hot Pot City even if it was a longer drive. We've never felt so unwelcomed. I'm pretty sure the other patrons that day would disagree with this review because aside from us, it looked like everyone else had great service together with their food. Needless to say, we are not coming back. If not for the food I would have rated this place awful. I hope you have a better experience than us.
