Chef's Experience China Bistro, Hayward

Heard the place was the best and was disappointed. Host was lackluster and uninterested, serving gal was very good. I felt it was very pricy for what you received. Wor won ton soup at $9.25 was not very good and the egg foo yung at $14.25 was tasty but pretty greasy. No soup came with the main dish for my husband which I thought was pretty weird. Decor is aged, front door has garbage bags hanging over it, We won t be back, not at those prices.

Go there all the time. We have friends now hook they never disappoint. You can taste the food not like other places where the food is old and over cook.

Excellent restaurant. Background instrumental music is from musicals (Phantom of the Opera, Evita, etc.) but can change. Food is very good. Beef Steak H.K. is excellent - 2 can share. Egg Foo Young is just okay but can be shared by 3 people. Served family style. Atmosphere is excellent. Upscale. We will go back. This was our first time on 10/7/09. Parking in lot behind restaurant. This is not your typical chinese restaurant but is a very pleasant change.

Much nicer than the Chinese restaurant in this location before Chef's Bistro. The food is better than most places, and the pot stickers browned at your table are excellent.

Better than PF Chang's & not as pricey. Our family went for Xmas eve. All 8 of us are in love, including the kids.

We love this place!! There food is great and everyone is really nice. You dont have to go so far to eat eat great food. Order the lettuce wraps, they are great!!

I'm Veg person and I got just what I want with the great taste and the service..Keep up the good work and people will keep coming.....
