Bistro, Hayward

Great place to hang out if you don't mind a bunch of weirdo's and their barking dogs. plus alot of the hayward bums congregate there because of the free live music. great if you dont mind all that

I think the previous reviewer understates this place's size pretty considerably. They also have a really nice sidewalk patio which is a really cool place to drink a few beers. Their beer menu is a little IPA-heavy for me, but it's a small complaint. The East Bay could use a lot more places like this.

It's cool if you are a serious brewer guy and like to talk shop with the bartender a foot away, this is the place for you. It holds like 8 people with 4 at the counter - there's not much food - do you count cheese as food? So, if you like feeling like you're some living room (and the bathroom right there) - it's certainly cozy. You don't feel you can linger and you feel like you need to name like 5 Belgium beers so if you are hardcore beer drinker - you might like it - otherwise, just too small, cramped and clicquish.
