Although best known for its hookah lounge, Bijan Restaurant has lots more to offer. The lunch and dinner menus at this eatery are composed of a vast assortment of Persian delicacies, with enough variety for both vegetarians and meat lovers. In addition to authentic Persian preparations like ghormeh sabzi (a concoction of lamb shank, herbs and kidney beans) and soltani kabobs (skewers of filet mignon and ground beef), you can also enjoy Mediterranean-influenced pizzas and pastas.
Food is good but the price was a little expensive. Its worth trying some good middle eastern food. Different than spicy indian food! Although, it was not bad for first timer! so lets see how it will go next time, if i ever tempted to go in there. :)
if hosting a party make sure you confirm everything.
I changed the venue from BJs to Bijan so that all my guests could enjoy belly dancing.
The server was good everything else was awful!
There was no belly dancing even after i called and confirmed just an hr before.
Service was slow- so we had to ask them to keep bringing the appetizers.
Soda was flat as they ran out of something.
And then ofcourse because i did not get my moneys worth i asked for a 10 % discount and the owner refused to give it and i was adamant too - so the owner asked the server to take of his tip???
yes i was very upset as most of us did not enjoy so we did pay without gratuity.
But what kind of owner would do that- its his restaurant and he should be the one giving the 10 % as his belly dancing ad was false and he did not have enough staff on a Saturday to handle the party.
I will not recommend this to anyone.
I have been to other persian restaurants and always enjoyed the ambience, food and service.
My family and I have been dining at Bijan's for years now and continue to be impressed and delighted with the food and level of service. We are always greeted with a friendly smile and receive excellent service. The menu has tons of options and the food is delicious! This is a great value overall. We always look forward to our family dinners at Bijan's!
My friend and I drove down to Freemont just to check the place out. The atmosphere was very cute and cozy. Very nice. We had never tried Persian food before. The waitress was very helpful and she even brought me a sample of the sauce that would come with the meal i wanted to order just to make sure that i would like it. Super yummy! I dont remember the name of the sauce, but i think it was made with walnuts and pomagrante juice or something. It was super good. I ordered the Fensanjon chicken. It was really good. I dont remember the names of the the dishes my friend ordered, but she really liked her meal. My friend and i are not big rice eaters, but the rice here, we at the whole plate! They also served some really great tasting Naan. And for dessert, we had some ice cream that tasted homemade wich was absolutely delicious! and we also had some bachlava which was pretty good, and we also had a little chocolate cake that had some chocloate inside. Kinda like a hostess cupcake, but oh so much better. The have a great dessert and wine menu. And its cool because any dish that you order, it is like you are getting a meal for two. Be prepared to bring home a doggy bag! And we happen to have come on a friday night, that there was belly dancing! She was great. I had a wonderful experience at this place and i am most definately coming back to try some of their kabobs
I really enjoyed my dinner at Bijan. Good service, and lots to choose from on the menu. Excellent Naan-like bread, fresh and hot from the oven. The iced tea that was definitely not your run-of-the mill standard iced tea, and had a yummy unique flavor. They served excellently prepared meats, nobody's was under or overcooked.Everything was well priced, big portions, good service, good meat quality. Very yummy and filling, and not at all greasy.
Nice little place, very clean. Good service, and lots to choose from on the menu. They serve great food, and they serve big portions so be prepared to bring home a doggy bag. They make their own bread, Naan, which is super delicious! And I absolutely love their dessert menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I hope you all had a happy Fourth of July. This is a great restaurant to get Persian food. You can sit and eat there, or if you are in a hurry, they have a take out menu so you can order your food to go. I think that is really cool. This restaurant is well decorated. They have a great wine list and a great dessert menu. If you ever do come to eat here, make sure you order one of their desserts!
I really like the elegancy of this place. Everyone here greets you with a smile and everyone is friendly. They have a lot of plates to choose from on the menue. And out waitress was really nice and gave us some suggestions about what we might like to order. It was my first time trying persian. She was so nice and even brought out a sample of the sauce for me to try. Our waitress was great. The also have a great wine list and a great dessert menu! You have got to try their chocolate cake and their bachlava! Yum!
I personally love eating here. They have such great service, and such great food. They have many things to choose from on the menue. And every plate that you order, it is like you are getting a plate for two. They serve huge portions so be prepared to take home a doggy bag. They also have belly dancing as entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Defiantely a sight to see.
