Erik's Deli Cafe, Fremont

I have ate here at this Erik's several times and LOVED it. I always get what I want no matter how many times I have change it. I get great service and yummy sandwiches and soups !!!!

I have eaten here twice, and have gotten the worst case of food poisoning each time. I ordered a sandwich each time. I would not recommend this cafe at all.

Overall a fine quick meal. Choice of several soups -- all good. A variety of specialty sandwiches that are huge. And they give senior citizens a discount. I typically take a friend and we order two soups and one sandwich to split between us. Always consistenly good and some sandwiches are served hot -- check the menu board for ingredients in each. Other sides like chips or salads I haven't tried, but they certainly look tasty in the display counter. Very clean premises. A great place for those who want to eat quickly and get on about their way -- at a reasonably affordable price.

..so I called Erik's and the owner answered. I asked him if they made grill cheese sandwhichs. He replied yes, and went on and on about their brand new pizza oven and how the sandwhichs would be perfect being prepared in this oven. I ordered two (2) Grilled Cheese sandwhichs and my Co-worker went to pick them up. He asked for the order of Grill Cheese Sandwhichs which had been placed under his name. Once he return to the office and we unwrapped the sandwhich, we couldn't believe it! Two dry pieces of bread with two cold slices of CHEESE !! Come on now, what part of grilled cheese is this ? And, it was $9.00 bucks at that.. I call the deli and the owner answered and said when my Co-worker came in the he was suppose to tell them to warm up the sandwhichs. HELLO!!! My thought is if you order a 'Grill Cheese' Sandwhich, you should get a Grill Sandwhich. Then he had the nerve to become argumentive. Spoiled our entire lunch. I think they're lousy !!

Good food, decent price. food is consistantly well made.
