Flatiron Grill, Calistoga

We had our rehearsal dinner here in September and it was absolutely amazing!! We chose steak & salmon as the entrees and all of our 35 guests were raving about them. The steak was incredibly flavorful and the salmon melted in your mouth. My fiancé & I also really enjoyed the salads and the sides of perfect mashed potatoes and steamed spinach. Not surprisingly, their wine was very delicious as well. As an aside, a cool feature of FlatIron is that they match corkage fee – so, if you buy a bottle from them, you can also open a bottle you bring without paying a corkage fee. ;-) The service here was equally impressive. I mainly dealt with Cory when planning the party. He is very low-key while at the same time professional and put my fiancé & I at ease. I'm not sure how the kitchen and waiters did it, but the entrees were served piping hot ALL at once!!! If you've ever been to a big dinner at a medium-sized restaurant, you know just how rare this really is! :) The ambience was totally perfect. The back banquet room has perfect dim lighting and plenty of space for everyone. Truly, I can't thank Cory and his team enough. We were so happy and had a fabulously fun time with our friends and family that night.
