I love the lasagna (should be slightly larger to serve 3-4) and most of the sauces.
Have never been a fan of the ravioli as they are very stingy on the fillings, even more so recently.
Times might be tough but the recent price increases and slightly lesser quality is surely not the way to go for a store that had high prices anyway.
The recent increase to the already high prices for me pushes it past any sort of reasonable price, getting greedy and cutting back on the the ravioli filling is also silly.
SUMMARY: Expensive but USED to be almost worth it. Perhaps they will cop on and bring the prices back down to earth.
I came here over the weekend for dinner. The restaurant was pretty busy and had to wait around 20 minutes for a table. The food is pretty good. Nothing super great but definitely better than the big chains (Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill) and the price is very reasonable. I think most items are less than 15 dollars and the portions are generous.
the bread was piping hot too.
This lil Italian place in downtown San Mateo is very nice. Cozy, great food & moderate pricing. Service has been know to be really slow sometimes. It seems they have one server working the whole place on most days. Other than that....pretty good!
