Little Shanghai, San Mateo

This place has changed a lot--(it's not Cloud Garden anymore, so I don't know why their reviews are here), but I have to say these folks have the best hot and sour soup and curry fried rice around. Actually- it's the only plave I've had curry fried rice, but I was instantly addicted. This place is packed every weekend, so you may want to call ahead.

Best to order: Appetizers: Jellyfish, Wine Chicken, Pig's Ear w/Spicy Sauce, Bean Curd w/Ma Lan. Dim Sum: XLB. Vegetable: SuJi w/soybean. Traditional: Sweet & Sour Spareribs Shanghai, Dong Po Pork, Prawns Shanghai Style, House Style Crab (pre-order one day ahead). Shanghai Fried Rice. Desserts: Sesame Dumpling in Rice Wine Sauce, Red Bean Paste Pancake. Go early - tables fill up quickly. There's a small parking lot behind the restaurant. Service was excellent. Food is fantastic.

Great place when dining with a group of 4 or more. Their dumplings are awsome!
