Howard's Cafe, San Francisco

Howard's has been a mainstay in the neighborhood for over 40 years. I think that when the original owner was still around, the food was much better but they still serve up a decent breakfast. The coffee is so so but I saw several people with their own coffee from the coffee house across the street as the other poster suggested. Breakfast is typical eggs with homefrys and toast, pancakes and french toast is also available. I had an omelette and coffee and the bill came to $9 w/ coffee. The service was fast and friendly.
