The Helmand, San Francisco

The name Helmand comes from one of the most beautiful states in Afghanistan. It is best known by it"s river "Helmand River" which flows through the desert region, providing water diverted for irrigation. Helmand Palace is owned and operated independently where you can taste Afghan's most famous and delicious dishes, soups, and vegetables. Our popular entrees include char-broiled leg of Lamb marinated in puree of onion, sun-dried baby grapes and garlic, served with sauteed eggplant and pallow rice or homemade pastry shells filled with onions and beef, served on yogurt and topped with carrots, yellow split-peas and beef sauce.
