Aziza Restaurant located in the avenues if San Francisco is quite the dining experience. Prices are reasonable and the food is exquisite from presentation to taste. The service was attentive and definitively felt that they wanted us to come back again. I am still reliving that dining experience from Sunday night, one of the best meals that I have had in a long time. Can't wait to go back again.
I've only been to Aziza once, but the 6 of us got the tasting menu so I think we probably tasted at least half of the items on the menu. While Aziza is definitely not cheap, the food is really wonderful. I had the best lamb here that I have ever had in my entire life. The drink menu is quite fun, and every dish I tried was excellent. The atmosphere is quite romantic and beautiful.
great and unique food; unlike anything in new york. service was friendly and unintrusive. drinks were unique and unusual. we were utterly surprised at how an athnic restaurant could be so pleasantly modern and avant guarde.
My husband and I have been to Aziza Restaurant about a dozen times over the last 3 years and enjoy taking out of town visitors to this lovely restaurant. The food and service has always been excellent. There is an exotic ambiance in the front room that has booths, and if the bellydancers are performing the night you're there, that's an extra treat! I highly recommend Aziza.
Aziza is the most romatic restaurant in San Francisco-- and a good value too!
You start out by walking though some veils at the entrance to the lush, cozy, warm, and darkish interior. The colors on the interior are mostly hues of reds mix with earth-tones of other colors. I sat against a padded throne-like bench, lined with compy pillows. The service was prompt, and first off they brought us rosewater for our hands-- an unexpected, amazing, and romantic touch.
The drinks were unusual but excellent, the food meticulously plated and promptly served. I have no complaints about the food; I thought that it was great, but the sevice and ambiance left such an impression on me that I would dine here again EVEN IF I though that the food was only average.
