I used to enjoy this restaurant with its great location and cute storefront. Some friends and I always had a 'Yokohama night' for special occasions. No more. The last time we were there, for a birthday, there were roaches. A baby one in the miso soup, one on the table, one on the wall right next to me. When we brought it to the waiter's attention, she looked at us like we were being picky and ridiculous. Overall, unpleasant service in a nasty environment. I wonder why things went so downhill.
Last reviewer, you as so full of it. 2 insect in 1 sitting? Please. This place is the best sushi in town at a great price. He orders daily in small portions and has been at this location 9+ years. I worked in the city for 2 months and this was our of my favorite places. $2 big beers and right there in North Beach.
I thought this was a nice place to have sushi. Nice looking from the outside so I tried the place for lunch with some friends. It turned out my sashimi had a worm in it. Not only that, I told the waitress about it. She brought it to the chef and he plucked off the little worm and confirms it was just food coloring! Not only that, my bento lunch box had a roach crawling in it. Horrible day for my friends who also lost their appetite. A $30 lunch worth spent elsewhere.
