Showed up around 9pm with a group of 8 including two kids and waited for over an hour just to be seated. No updates on seating were given, but the 30 minute estimate was pretty far off. The food was ok but not good enough to be awake trying to finish dessert after 11pm. Pretty disappointed after all the hype.

On our first trip to SF in 2005, my fiancee and I found this restaurant listed in an airline magazine on the plane and couldn't wait to try it. UGH! Never been so disappointed - with the food and service. Although we did have a nice view - and you can't typically find THAT at Red Lobster.

My husband & I ate here on our first trip to SF and it is the best restaurant we've ever ate at. Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside, it's amazing! Delicious, fresh seafood and very attentive service. We can't wait to go back with our kids.

had to even the playing ground a little hear. We love seafood and living in the city we have our options. Visitors always want to go here and we shrug our shoulders, and hope that this time things will be great. Yet its always the same. Very old servers, which would be fine but they don't hear you, forget requests, and move slowly. Very cramped seating. I've been there with groups from 2-10 and no matter the size, we always have chairs bumping the table next to us. The foods good, but not amazing. The place hasnt been changed probably since it opened and while I normally love the throw back to the good ol days, they miss the mark. Feels like a old 1900 Planet Hollywood. That is beginning to rot. Blah. I can't stand this place.

I used to work in SF and have lunch at Scoma's at least once a week. I would always bring out of town guest there either for lunch or dinner. They always had nothing but praise for the food and always wanted to return on their next visit. Now that I'm retired I don't get into the city as often as I would like but when I do Scoma's is always our first stop. Our favorite dish is Patrale Dore. I can hardly wait to return.

Best food I have ever had. Great service. Took my wife and in laws there two weeks ago, well worth the price. The 200 I spent was well worth it. Planning on going back ASAP!

Excellent! I have eaten there a few times while on travel, once on Vacation, my wife thought it was fantastic. You can not go wrong here, it is casual enough, but had a level of service that was hinting if a higher class eatery. It reminds me of a couple of Seafood Restaurants I have been to in Boston, my wife thought the same thing -Very Nice -Donlt miss it if you are out that way and looking for Seafood.

Scoma's - Best Seafood on Fisherman's Wharf
By Norman, 10/1/07
Fantastic sea food, very friendly staff, good service, great location in San Francisco. Only problem may be having to wait for a table, as they do not take reservations.
