King of Thai Noodle House
This lavender-walled restaurant, with several city locations, is airy and bright. It features gracious service and flavorful food in significant quantities at great prices. The specialty is pan-fried flat noodles, which are prepared spicy or mild and served with a variety of vegetables and toppings (meat, fowl, seafood). Entrees can alternatively feature tofu for vegetarian, and when you order it that way, the waitperson will ask if you want to leave the eggs out - a thoughtful question in this vegan outpost of a town. Other items on the menu include wonderful Fried Rice (mountains of it) and Roast Duck. The Fried Bananas and Coconut Ice Cream for dessert is also great. The restaurant does not accept credit cards. Please call ahead for hours.
Outstanding! Have never had a bad dish at this place. We go at least once a month, coming from Sonoma. Incredible staff, quick service, outstanding food! Spicey Duck Curry, one of the best meals I have had in the bay area - pad thai and veg soup are staples, can't seem to get away from them...... and the price is always right....... 5 stars and I would rather eat here than almost any place I have been in the bay area.
Went to the location about a block and a half from the Cartwright on Sutter Street, This was the night after we dropped close to $200 bucks at Tadish for good food and rude service, What a difference a day makes! the food was EXCELLENT and authentic, and best of all, we all ate(4 of us) for just about the cost of the tip the night before. Too bad we found it on our last night in SF, almost worth the 1800 mile flight to come back! nothing fancy, just great food at a very good price.
The worst food, worst service. Every thing is bad. Will not go back again. The worst food, worst service. Every thing is bad. Will not go back again. The worst food, worst service. Every thing is bad. Will not go back again.
Craving for Asian cuisine? I love King of Thai. I can eat there everyday! The price is reasonable and you really get value for money! Recommended dishes: Duck Fried Rice, Pad Thai. Yum yum! The ambience is not that great, so if you order for take out it's great too!
