Not to be missed!
In the best Spanish cuisine, simple ingredients--olive oil, potatoes, garlic, seafood, tomatoes, paprika, saffron--undergo a kind of alchemy in the kitchen, and masterpieces emerge. We were a party of 14 people, and all had a tapas meal to remember, including gambas al ajillo, patatas bravas, manchego flambeado, queso de cabra, espinacas, pinchos morunos, calamares fritos, and a paella a la Valenciana, topped off with an assortment of five fantastic desserts to share--all I can say is wow. My favorite tapas was the poached octopus with paprika--for me, the dish is the very spirit of the Mediterranean--rich, complex, intense, yet so unassuming. I'm telling everyone I know about this place. It's absolutely superb.
