A favorite in the Cow Hollow neighborhood, Rose's Cafe is a hangout for locals who bask in the sun at sidewalk tables, duck inside for a cappuccino, or stay for a leisurely meal. Many customers are regulars who frequent the pretty bistro-cafe that offers table service and some of the most deliciously affordable food in San Francisco - Italian fare created using organic local produce, fresh seafood, humanely raised meats, and free-range poultry. Rose's artisan bakers bake a daily selection of pastries, desserts and breads. Menu highlights include: pizzas, daily soups and house made pasta. Accepting Reservations for Dinner Only! Parties of 6 or more may be charged an 18% gratuity.

breakfast rocks here

dude........the pizza/egg/ham combo gig for breakfast is one of the best morning eats in town. I head down from Marin with the kids on weekends, get a strong coffee at Rose's and feast on the pizza/egg/ham deal....maybe that's why I need to lose a few pounds!! ;) Marty

amazing potatoes

this is my new favorite place for breakfast. The garlic potatoes are pure evil and I'm fighting to limit myself to one serving a week. Yum!

Looks Better than It Is

Everytime I walk by this place, it looks so awesome. Then I have to remind myself that when I do eat there, it's universally mediocre. It's such a tease because the menu is good, but execution is everything. And they don't seem to have it.

I did like the quaint decor and our waitress was perfectly cordial. However, the food was a bit on the disappointing side. My chicken was borderline dry and the fried potatoes were in serous need of some flavor. Given that many of the other reviews are quite positive, I think I may have to try the spot again, but make sure to go with a different meal choice.

Tasty fancy brunch in Cow Hollow

The only problem with brunch at Rose's cafe is the wait. It is a popular place! But once you're in, your realize it was worthwhile. Service is good, decor orginal for brunch but not as much as the menu. I really enjoyed the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs pizza and all my friends liked their dishes too. (The polenta was a little dull though).

Blockbuster menu. A wonderful brunch.

While I really enjoyed the poached egg and sweet potato hash, I found myself jealous of all of my companions' selections. The breakfast pizza with white truffle oil is outstanding, and the spinich scamble set a new standard for a simple, tasty dish. Nobody at our table ordered the french toast, but that looked amazing as well. Rose's is undoubtedly a top brunch spot in the city, and one that you could return to many times.

Our home away from home

Even though there are a million options for excellent dining in San Fran, we always find ourselves coming back to Rose's for the spot on food, friendly (treat us like family) waitstaff and the fun atmosphere. Brunch is great, outside is warm & sunny & kids are welcome. When I'm just too tired to cook but want the relaxed comfort of a home-cooked meal, we go to Rose's.

My favorite cafe in the city

Rose's cafe is a nice cafe with a twist of European atmosphere. The food is very good and the service is wonderfull ! It's my lunch favorite cafe in the city in the Union shopping district area.
