Hunan Homes is one of the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Their variety is endless, from homestyle cooking to fancier dishes suited to family-style banquet dining. Great lunch specials at very reasonable prices. Good, clean and fresh food. Nice flavor. Surprising good service. Surprising because Asian restaurants in this price range don't usually have good service.
I have tried their sliced fish in white sauce and kang pao sliced fish. Both were great. I am a regular now!
Great for small and large (like 6-8 people) groups. Hot and sour soup is great, as is kung pao tofu, honey walnut shrimp, and orange peel beef. Great Hunan cooking. Atmosphere is informal, not too noisy.
