Hunan Home's Restaurant, San Francisco

Food is great, good flavor, and the price is reasonable. We always get good service, but then they know us because we go often. But it is a bit rushed, not a place for a quite sit-down. For that Su Hong in Menlo Park or Palo Alto would be better.

If you're in Chinatown and you want an affordable place with good service and terrific food, this is it. It is not one of the tourist-type Chinatown restaurants which thrive on ladies hussling menus and yelling DIM SUM at you, it is a favorite among locals and a largely undiscovered diamond in the rough in a neighborhood with plenty of competition

This is a great place to eat on Sunday's with the family. Here is a protip for you all. On sunday ask them if there are any special dishes that are not on the menu.

This is a great place for lunch. They have a variety of lunch specials that come with hot and sour soup. The soup is actually pretty good considering most places serve watered down versions. The service is more than acceptable.

Very good food and very fast service. Pleasant atmosphere. Convenient location. Relatively large. Inexpensive lunch specials during the week. Pleasant waitstaff. All around a top notch place for the money.

The food is delicious. The lunch menu is a great value but the dinner menu is a little on the steep side. I would highly recommend the Eggplant, Prawns and Chicken dish. I guarantee that you won't be disappointed.

I when to Hunan Homes with a business assoicate how lives only a few blocks away and the food was the best I've ever had. I have been to a number of Hunan style restaurants all over the West Cost and Hawaii and by far the food a Hunan Home's was better then the rest of them. Even my jaded friends from Minnesota had a great time there. The serve was prompt and friendly, the suggestions he made were excellent, and he kept a close eye on our table. I can't wait for my next trip to SFO so I can go again!

This is a great place to realax and enjoy a chinese family style meal with a great menu selection and very friendly service. I've brought friends here from diverse backgrounds and all tell their friends and family about the wonderful food, atmosphere and overall experience!

Food and service is fantastic. I take all my out of town guests for authentic delicious Chinese food to Hunan Homes!

Seriously, I would totally recommend Hunan Home. The curry chicken is to die for. Service is great, even when the place is full. The prices are in line with other places in the city. This is definitely going to be where I bring out of town visitors for some real Chinese food.
