Taiwan Restaurant claims to be the first Taiwanese restaurant in the country. The pink-bubblegum interior is light-hearted in contrast to the seriously good food. The space is small, but well laid-out so you never feel cramped. Inside, a mix of locals and young intellectuals from the nearby universities congregate. In addition to traditional Chinese food, the menu offers a few unique dishes for the more adventurous diners. Lunch specials include fried yam cakes or Five-Spiced Pork Ears. The noodle dishes are a sure winner. Service is quick.
There is nothing you would dislike at Taiwan Restaurant. The food is so yummmy...there are so many food to pick for affordable price. You should go check it out if you want some real chinese food. There was a time i went there and it was pack of poeple and they have to give me a number, but its worth the wait. And great service.
Lunch at Taiwan is a phenomenal value. Just go ahead and order more than you can eat, b/c it all makes for great leftovers. Definitely get at least one plate of the dumplings...I'll leave the rest up to you. Fresh, tasty Chinese food on the cheap!
