Sushi Bistro, San Francisco

I have been to Sushi Bistro several times now, and am a loyal customer, not only because the rolls are delicious, but because the owners make you feel right at home. The sushi chef , Xin, is out of this world with his creations, and Debby gives you great service. If you are ever in the area, you have to check this place out!

I've never had sushi like this before. It's just absolutely amazing. The flavors of the sushi are wonderful. The rolls are very creative. Fresh fish. The rolls are not stuffed with rice, like some other places. These are quality rolls. Atmosphere's great. Great service.

Sushi Bistro offers some of the most creative and delicious sushi I have ever had the pleasure of eating. I would recommend Sushi Bistro to beginners and avid sushi connoisseurs alike.

The first thing that stands out are the rolls. This isn't your regular sushi place. There is just so many flavors to the rolls. My favorite one would have to be the African spider roll. It has soft shell crab, with i believe yellowtail sashimi, eel, avacado and topped with his special sauce. Many of his rolls are of this style. I highly recommend going there to try it out.

I've been going to Sushi Bistro for a long time now and the sushi has been consistently good there. I have no reason to go anywhere else, really. The chef, Xin, has a variety of interesting rolls and also makes the standards as well. What proves that Xin and Debbie really know what they are doing is just how fresh the fish is. After being an enthusiastic sushi eater for the past 25 years, I can say that it's hard to find somewhere that's consistent. But at Sushi Bistro they don't serve it if it smells fishy. The prices are very reasonable too ... you can either choose a bunch of fancy stuff and pay a bit more, or you can stick with the basics and get out of there very satisfied for under 18 bucks. Sure the same kind of sushi was only about 12 bucks at the Tsukiji fish market in Japan when I was there earlier during the year. But until plane tickets are 6 dollars, then Sushi Bistro is where I'm going for my fix. By the way, you may be thinking this is shameless self-promotion because I mentioned the names of the proprietors, however if you go there for a while you'll get to know them well too. I assure you, I'm just a very satisfied customer.
