I;ve taken many people here for their birthdays. THeir food is decent, but you go there for the show they give you. ALl the food is cooked in front of you, and the cefs are very entertaining. If your scared of throwing knoives, it may not be the place for you, but if you need a little spice in your evening, it'll hit the spot. FOr birthdays, they pull out the drum, give you icecream, and take a poleroid picture. They also have a private room if you want your party to be more secluded. A warning. All tables seat 8 people and they fill them up. If you go with one other person, they will sit you with 6 others. It never bothered me, but it wont be private. Be prepared for an exciting night.

I got conned by some friends to go to dinner here and while I had preconceptions of mediocrity in my head, I psyched myself up for the TEPPANYAKI experience. Unfortunately, my preconceived notions were right. They sat us almost an hour past when our reservation was, the food was boring, tasteless, and over priced.

Whilst not a restaurant for business, Benihana's in the middle of Japan Town is a good fun experience and the food is to a good honest standard. It had a good atmosphere.
