Joe's Cable Car Restaurant, San Francisco

Good burger but not worth the money. Been there, done it, will not do it again! Sorry Joe, $40 for two burgers, fries and drinks!

I went here when I first moved to the neighborhood and thought this was going to be the best burger of my life. I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and shake to go. I almost fell over when she said $28. I just paid it cuz they had already started making it and I felt dumb for not realizing what they charge with all the 'extras', like cheese. I have never and will never go back

very over priced i payed 27 bucks for my meal and i was willing to pay because i expected to have the best burger in my life but it wasnt. you're better off going to in n out

Way over priced!!!! I really wonder how many people comes back to this restaurant after getting their bill. I suggest on taking a look at the menu for the prices prior to going. In and Out burger is cheaper and better. The fries from Joe's are from a frozen bags, In and Out is freshly made. I will never recommend this place to anyone..

Waaaaay overpriced !!!!!!!! food was bland Joe was cool and came and talked to me and my wife Joe loves him some Joe he has a continuos loop of the DDD spot as well as a news spot........Rather go to In N out burger I DO NOT RECCOMEND

While visiting San Francisco we decided to try Joe’s. The burgers were great! I will admit it was a little over priced, but if you get the 8ozs. burger do you really need any sides? We were stuffed with burgers and a side of zucchini. They recommend you get your burgers medium rare which we did and they weren’t dry at all very moist and tasty. I’m glad I didn’t read the reviews 1st or I might not have gone. As for the inside I thought it was cool and it didn’t really matter that much to me as long as the place was clean which it was and the service and food were great. Maybe they have there off nights and we hit it on a good night, but it was great!

As excited as we were to enter the hallowed shack of Joe's Burgers, we were even more disappointed when we left. The interior is quant to say the least, the service marginal at best, but the worst was the reason why we had come: the food. I have had a lot of hamburgers in my life, but this ranks as one of the worst ever. Tasteless, dry, and certainly without the merit people like Triple-D Guy from the Food Network bestows upon them. A complete let-down which would have been made palatable had the check reflected the low quality with an equally low price. However, for three burger and soft drink, a tab of $50 is not only outrageous, but also an unbelievable rip-off. Avoid this place at all cost.

We drove a long way for the burger. It was a big dissappointment. Really expensive and not worth it. My daughter ordered fish and chips and the fish was like the one you get in the frozen box. in n out is way better.

After seeing your ad, we went to Joes Cable Car to try the burger. Its very average and no where as good as in n out. The price is a joke. A small burger is one third the price of an entree at Sutros at the cliff house. We live in San Diego and the best burger is at Rockys in Pacific Beach . They dont compare. I would not suggest Joes to anyone, unless there happy with a 4 on a scale of 10
