Painting the town
Likes: -cute, intimate, modern artsy decor -delicious food, I had the duck and I was very impressed -really pleasant, dignified, classy service Dislikes: -there was a barely noticeable wait (because I was a little drunk), but we only had one course and it took 2 hours, and it was a weeknight, though the restaurant was full -it was chilly in there, i didn't take my jacket off the whole time I would visit this restaurant on a warmer night when it isn't 30 degrees outside, but if you're really hungry and you need to eat now, go to a place with a get-your-food-out-fast review.

Great food, BAD service
By ,
The good: The food was delicious. A creative blend of flavors and textures made the food truly unique and tasteful. The presentations were impressive without being fussy. Regarding the food, nicely done all around. The bad: Service. It was incomplete and inattentive. We had to wait 45 minutes for our reserved table. Only after the first 30 minutes went by were we asked if we wanted a glass of wine. When we were finally escorted to our table, we were told that it wasn

Great Food at Moderate Prices
By ,
We were staying in Japantown and chose this restaurant for its location, but after eating there we think it is worth going a bit out of your way for. Every dish we ordered was tasty and well presented. We all ordered seafood, which was fresh and prepared well. The prices were modest considering the quality of the food. The service was informal and friendly, but pretty efficient. We thought the tables were nicely spaced compared to some cramped SF restaurants. There were some noisy groups when we were there and the accoustics didn't seem to dim the noise. We would have preferred it a little quieter.

Lovely small location for a party
By ,
We had a 25 person party (planned in advance), basically taking up the front half of the restaurant. They did a great job accomodating us, setting up the right menu for the group, etc. Their food is asian inspired californian cuisine and yummy, with above-the-crowd deserts and a nice but not huge wine list.

A sure thing everytime
By ,
A very romantic small restaurant that encompasses all the things one needs in a dining experience. The personal touch in both food and service makes one feel like the VIP you are. Servers are both friendly and informative with food suggestions hitting home consistantly. Don't be surprised if you get special nibbles between meals. the quality of the food exceeds what you expect for the price. This is a great place to go for a pleasant dining experience.

Fabulous food and great service
By ,
We were visiting on a busy Saturday night, but were made to feel like family as the owner/chef spoke to us frequently to ensure we were happy and even sat down to have some wine with us at our table. Each entree was personalized to our liking, and there was even a little boy with dairy allergies at the table next to us who had a specially created dinner just for him. When you visit, just speak up and they'll be happy to accommodate your every wish.
