This is a delightful, albeit small, place for Japanes food in a cozy, pale-wood setting. One of the best things on the menu is the Fresh-Water Eel, beautifully grilled with a rich marinade and served on a bed of fluffy rice. The crisp, deep-fried oysters have a surprisingly sweet batter that works well with the oysters' saltiness. The octopus salad is a good choice for an appetizer that contrasts in texture and temperature. You may have to wait in line with the loyal locals who frequent this place during peak hours, but the food delivered with impeccable service is worth the wait. Please call for further information.
Went once before and really enjoyed it! Service was terrible, nice enough..if you could get them to your table, forgot simple things like the dipping sauce for the tempura, appetizers. My wife ordered beef teriaki w/tempura, meat was so tough she couldn't eat it. All this and we were only one of two tables being served.
I used to like this place, however when I last ate there I found a staple in my food. When I showed the waitress what I found, she took it, but did not give an apology. I saw her take the staple to the kitchen and show everyone. Everyone in the kitchen looked out, yet nothing was done. I don't usually give reviews, however this is the worst cutomer service I received.
I work in the hospitality industry and know what customer service is about.
I highly recommend some of the other Japanese restaurants in the area.
