YELP! Cockroach in the Pho. I'm sorry, maybe this is a reality in the worlds of restaurants, but I still think it is unacceptable to find a cockroach floating in your soup. I won't go back and unfortunately won't eat Pho for awhile, anywhere.
I don't know how many times I must have walked by this place without ever considering it. Luckily, a friend of mine showed it to me, and I eat there ALL the time now. They have the BEST vermicelli noodle bowls around (don't bother, Sunflower!). Their sauce is a perfect balance of tangy, sweet, and salty. Their imperial rolls (they just call them egg rolls) are very generously sized and always crispy. I'm kind of a pain in the butt and always ask to get some additional veggies while scaling back on the meat. They seem happy to adjust the order whenever I ask them to. Their pho and soups (with or without noodles) are really good, as are their rice dishes. It's never full inside, you get your order very quickly, and they let you stay as long as you want. This is truly a great family run place for Vietnamese food.
