Houston's is a great place to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and graduations�well just about anything! The food is great, a little pricey for steak and fish entrees, but no cork fee is a major plus! The ambience is wonderful, and the staff is very attentive and friendly. Make sure you grab a table next to the fireplace if you are having a romantic evening.

went there with a bunch of co-workers and the food was great (very fresh ingredients) + the ambiance was perfect. Make sure to chill outside near the fireplace. Parking was pretty easy and the wait was like any normal restaurant on a Saturday night.

Went there last night with my sister. We had a good time - it was quiet but not boring. So, we could talk but still be part of a scene. Food was good and reasonably priced.

I loved the food, I loved the bar! The hosting and service lacks!! For one I called for reservations since most times I go there I end up waiting 45 min or more. When I called I was told that there were no more reservation slots available {it is 6:30PM and I am calling for 8:00} I thought this was odd because you can just walk in the joint and be wait for a table and it isnt like they are booked or something. SO after I got there, they said 30 min, I waited 1 hour at the bar and saw many of the larger tables of 4 or more taken before me and they had only been waiting 15 min. THAT IRRITATED ME and my guest...once we were seated the servers seem overworked and lack time to be friendly. THe food is great and the prices are reasonable.

the food is very good, but i think $16.50 for a salad is kind of expensive. also very long wait, everytime i go there is about 40-45 minutes to get a table.

Ate here again yesterday. One of my all time favorite restaurants in San Francisco. I ordered the ribs and it was great. Staff is friendly and service is fast. Some nights have live music too. Friday's and weekends make sure to call in a reservation in early. Maybe around noon. Great looking staff too. ;)

No corkage fee! Ribs are as good as anywhere.

houstons' has been my favorite since 1999, i have been to the san francisco houston's as well as the houston's in santa monica, they are both awesome! the ribs are the best i've ever had. you can eat them with a fork, they have best flavor and i can eat the whole slab of ribs in one sitting. the cesar salad is crisp and fresh, the baked potatoe is amazing.. and i eat mine with just black pepper.. the bread is warm and fresh.. i tell all my friends about this place and how wonderful the ribs are. the atmosphere is great, if you want to bring in a big party, they are quick to accommodate. the service is great, always professional and not overpriced.

Houston's is a great spot. The ambiance is really nice; the service is excellent, and best of all--no corkage fee. You can have a really nice meal at a very reasonable price if you are not buying a bottle of wine. The Ribs are incredible, so are the salads and the burger. Long waits most nights, but its worth it.
