Cha Cha Cha, San Francisco

the line is always a turnoff! The food - the shrimp (curry base?) is pretty good as is their sangria...but pretty much anything is good from this cajun place. But the price is more on the moderate side and a fun place to go w/ friends for drinks, tapas(sizes?) as long as you plan to hang out for a bit!

decent food... but highly over-rated; sangria's are good too; service is moderate; waiting for a table can be comparted to waiting in line for a new rollercoaster ride-- it takes forever.

What can I say.....This place is awesome. I love the food and I don't mind the wait at all. Everything is tasty and yummy.

Likes: great food, exciting vibe, exotic staff, very creative decor Dislikes: slow service (a little bit of negative attitude from a few), small tables, a little bit cramped

Great Food

Sunday afternoon walk & run, conservatory of flower -- the Cha Cha Cha. Great afternoon of sunshine and good food. Try the daily special. The pan fryed trout was done perfectly and placed on a bed of salad. Fresh, tasty and a great value for a lunch. Try it. Lots of colorful people on the streets and in the park. Service at Cha Cha Chae was just OK, but most of us know what we want. Order a beer and just enjoy the atomosphere.

Ignore the grit and grime of the neighborhood- hey, it's the Haight. Don't park in the Mcdonald's parking lot as desparate as you may be- too many drunks and homeless folks find it convenient to leave their unwanted meals there. If you're solo, go to Cha Cha Cha. If you're sad because your wife is about to leave you, go to Cha cha cha where the Sangria will make your worries go away real quick. The food is forgetable but you don't come here for that. This is a fun, non pre-tentious alternative to the Marina scene. Peak hours are between 7 and midnight? Barely breathing room so don't go if you're clostrophobic (sic).
