This is easily one of my favorite places to eat. The food is soo fresh and delicious. Some of the plates are made with over 10 ingredients, all of which you see before they mix it up. I go there as often as I can. Thanks!

Although the food was great, the service felt rushed. It used to be my #1 Burmese restaurant, but at the rise of many other Burmese restaurants in the Bay Area where you can get a great Burmese cuisine, the service becomes the more important part of the dinning experience. As a Burmese, I've talked to the staff who seemed to be the owner and he still asked me the last time if it was my first time being there lol. Well, at least he asked ;0). I am now giving my support to other Burmese restaurants where I don't have to deal with the long line and the noise and get authentic Burmese food at an affordable price. Places like Mingalaba on Burlingame Ave, Little Yangon on Mission, Mandalay on California St, Pagan, Yellow Padaut and many others.

When a restaurant has a line out the door from the minute they open to past 8 pm on a random Wednesday night, you can bet you'll get a lot of bang for your buck. The masses don't lie. Your money is well spent here, so long as you have good company to entertain you while you wait. Maybe bring some crackers to tide you over if you get low blood-sugar...

After waiting almost two hours I was expecting something special...The ambiance was noisy, crowded and dark. The food was good but did not warrant a return visit even if the surrounding were more comfortable. Perhaps I did not order the right thing, The tea salad was interesting, but not intriguing. I regarded the food as more oily and seasoning lack the dimension and nuances of a good Thai or Vietnamese restaurant.

Burma Super Star was my favorite restaurant when I lived in San Francisco, three years ago. I have since moved to rural Wisconsin, but I still remember the delicious, crunchy green tea salad, mixed by the waiter at the table while he described each ingredient, and asked if I wanted the hot peppers mixed in or left on the side. Mixed in! Every time. My favorite entree was the curry beef, served in a deep bowl with potatoes with a thick, creamy, spicy base. I was just describing it today to someone and my mouth just watered! If I was a millionaire I would fly to S.F. today and head right for Clement street and Burma Super Star. Yummy everything, Intimate, lovely, and friendly dining experience, including the wait staff. There are a lot of great places to eat in S.F., but this one really made an impression on me. If only they delivered to Wisconsin!

Maybe I didn't order the right thing but it really really really was not worth waiting almost 3 hours. Pure hype. And it's not a nice space-very crammed, sticky tables....

I love food @ burma superstar. Only downside, they don't take reservations over the fone (or so I heard) so you can expect to wait anywhere from 30 mins to an hour to get a table on a weekend nite. This still doesn't deter me from going to this place though :) . Polite and friendly staff in spite of the crowd. Some of my favs: refreshing burma cooler, salt & pepper chicken, samusas, lamb curry, spicy basil chicken, tofu kebat.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! Definitely go, if you have the time to wait. But the wait is worth it! Ordered tea leaf salad, samosa soup, pea shoots, and shrimp curry. Have to say that that was one of the best meal I ve had in a long time. Cant wait to try all the other dishes. They dont take reservations, but call ahead and tell the host to put your name on the list, and get there before they call your name; otherwise, you name will be dropped.
