Harris' Restaurant has a butcher counter, which provides aged, Midwestern, corn-fed steaks in a variety of cuts. It is located in San Francisco and organizes live music programs.
I have been here only once but left with bad impression. I made reservations but waited one hour to be seated past the reservation time. The setting is nice and the steak is quite good. However, the one hour wait was too long to get a seat when reservations were made.
I love the atmosphere in Harris! People gathering were talking and enjoying the meals. Piano was playing plus a lady was singing Jazz. It's soooo great. One of the best steak house I've been to. You will not see this place is empty.Reservation is highly recommanded of course!
Whenever we go to San Francisco, my wife has to give me a reason not to go to Harris. They are known for their martinis and steak, and both will certainly be excellent. But the surprise we had the first time we went there was the Caeser salad...hard to beat anywhere else. I've been there six times and have not been disappointed any one of my visits.
We had a romantic dinner in the bar at a white clothed table while the pianist accompanied the jazz singer. It was fab, the food wonderful and the service couldn't have been better. We felt so welcome from the moment we entered the front door.
