Description

Opened in 1984, Harris' Restaurant is one of the leading steakhouses. The restaurant features four dining rooms and a bar. Its main dining room features plush booths, high ceilings, brass chandeliers, skylights and a painting by local artist Barnaby Conrad. The restaurant s menu includes a variety of appetizers, side dishes, salads and desserts. It additionally offers a selection of wines, including zinfandel, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, cabernet sauvignon, pinot noir and merlot. Harris' Restaurant has a butcher counter, which provides aged, Midwestern, corn-fed steaks in a variety of cuts. It is located in San Francisco and organizes live music programs.

Best steak in SF

I think this is the best steakhouse in SF. I've been to Luger's in NYC and a few other places back east and I think Harris' definitely holds its own. We came here for a work outing and they had a great wine selection and meat that melted in your mouth. I tried some of their Kobe steak and that is definitely the softest steak I've ever had in my life. I thought I was eating meat-flavored butter. Oh, just the memory of it.... Anyways, it's pricey and dark like most upscale steak joints are but definitely an experience.

Best SF Steakhouse

Harris' has the best steaks in SF - offering the highest-grade dry-aged beef, always prepared exactly how you order it. The space and service are both old-school in the best way possible - rich wood, plush leather booths, and highly competent professional service. Too bad it is not listed in the right category, as it doesn't even show up under steakhouses, where it belongs at the top of the list.

Excellent steaks, Great atmosphere

If you're looking for a REALLY good steak this is the place to be! I'd recommend Harris' over Ruth's Chris anytime. However, if you're thinking about getting the prime rib, the prime rib here is just OK compared to House of Prime Rib down the street.

Fantastic steaks

The food and bar created a fantastic experience for a special guest I brought to Harris's for a special evening. The drinks were properly made, brought to us in a timely manner and the steaks like always were prepared to our individual tastes.The service was also very professional and the check was also handled propertly.
