Paragon Restaurant & Bar - San Francisco, San Francisco

This restaurant is located just a few blocks from my apartment so we tend to eat here often. It's a good, reliable restaurant. The burgers are a great deal at $10.

Everything about Paragon is perfectly nice: nice atmosphere, nice food, nice ingredients. What will always keep me going back is the best restaurant mac and cheese I've found! It comes with the chicken or can be ordered as a side dish with anything. (I like to get sides of it to go.)

From the moment you walk in you are treated like gold! You really can appreciate the very well stocked bar and I highly recommend a Vodka Mojito. The service all around is beyond expectations and the food is just amazing. Try the Mac and Cheese for a side dish and finish dinner off with the chocolate CHIPwhich ice cream sandwinch for desert {you will be addicted} This place can be great for a small intimate dinner or a large private party and it makes a great place to stop in just for drinks and an appetizer or desert at the bar.

I dine there regularly because I enjoy the level of service the staff provides. CHEF Spencers' creations in the kitchen are nothing short of amazing and SPIKE at the bar can whip you up any drink your heart may desire {Belvedere Mojito please!} This is also my favorite spot to just hang out for a drink and desert at the bar. The wide selection of deserts can take care of your specific tastes, including a Chocolate ChipWich {thats vanilla ice cream btwn chocolate chip cookies} served with a chocolate dipping sauce, there is even homemade cracker jacks plus other seasonal items. You just can't miss with this place!

The food wasnt the best. I also wasnt too sure of what it was that I ordered. I felt like the restaurant was a little loud so it was kind of hard to hold a conversation with the person across the table. The service was good, quick, and friendly.

Both the bar area and the restaurant area are very nice and nicely arranged so that you can have a great dinner experience (surprisingly it was not noisy at all). I had the mahi mahi dish (with green beans, mushrooms and shallots) and it was excellent. My friends also appreciated their halibut/macaroni and cheese dishes. This is the perfect place for a romantic dinner or a dinner with a group of friends. The crowd was also quite sophisticated.

set in soma, paragon is fairly easy to get a reservation at the last minute. depsite this, the food was very good - i had the halibut and it was extremely tasty. the bar is adjacent to the eating area which can make for a fair amount of noise - especially if it is 10pm on a friday night ;)
