A hole-in-the-walls with great food, this U-Lee Restaurant has tables, chairs, white walls and delicious cuisine. Though most of the business is take-out, the dining area is small enough to fill up quickly with locals and tourists indulging in garlicky pot stickers, succulent pepper steak, flavorful braised noodle dishes and other Mandarin and Cantonese specialties that are prepared with care. Good for breakfasts and light lunches, U-Lee is a wonderful addition to the city's gastronomic circuit.
I fly up to SF from LA just to eat their potstickers. I usually order the night before and take them back to the hotel, have the front desk people freeze them overnight and then I package them in a brown bag (then put them inside a tight plastic bag to keep from spilling). When I get home (an hour later), I put them in the fridge and eat potstickers all week.
