On a pretty day, one the best places in the city to stop by for a drink is right here. The Ramp Restaurant is a popular restaurant with a wharf type set up, your table is quite literally seaside as you partake of generous portions of American style cuisine including juicy burgers and crispy fries. Live music often accompanies the good food and drink on weekend evenings. There's no extra charge for seagull dancing or the barking seal show.
Fantastic place, even in winter. On the water, very informal (funky in a good way), great staff, great food. We still have some beautiful weather in winter and when we do, take advantage of the Ramp's location. Evening specials are great, too. I highly recommend you try it out!
I love this place. Discovered it a few years ago and it's the first place I take out of town guests. It's low-key and relaxing. Brunch at The Ramp is the absolute perfect place to sit in the sun and nurse a Sunday hangover with friends and a little hair of the dog treatment thanks to their yummy mimosas.
Not a bad place for drinks on a sunny afternoon. Weekdays are good but the wekeends can be crowded and long waits for a table are not uncommon. Fortunately there is a bar where you can sit and knock back a frew drinks with you wait. The waiters allways try to push the margaritas on you but I don't thnk they are all that great. The food is mediocre burgers and frys but I don't really go there to eat.
i have been here several times - always sitting at the outdoor patio. today i ate the stuffed avocado with bay shrimp and fresh fruit. their servings are generous and service is helpful. although th view isn't scenic, it's a nice, low-key type of place where you can relax and hang out with friends.
