Ok for a chain. They put a cube of butter on every steak to enhance the flavor. Service was good. Most of the reviewers here have dined at Outback once too many times. This is a step above Outback.

This fancy steak house is one of my favorite restaurants. Food is incredible, great service and atmosphere everything I've ever had is great expect the gumbo is not so good, my favorite steak is the veal cut with sweet and hot peppers if you ever go there trust me on this please order it is the best steak they have in the house the fillet Mignon does not come even close to the veal and mash potatoes, their stuffed chicken is also good not to mention any of their dessert selection is also outstanding.

I love love love this place. I never had such good steak and fish. Be sure to get the crabtini its to die for, the only downside is having to order sides separately but its all worth it and the waitresses are very nice and pleasant and the valet is wonderful.

My favorite steakhouse, so far. Ruth Chris has the nicest staff of the few steakhouse I have visited. I was taken to RC for my birthday. And, the waiter sat me by the window, which was great. I am a big people watcher. The filet mignon and the mashed potatoes were excellent. On top of the service, the view and all, I receive a free dessert and was enough for two and high quality. I recommend Ruth Chris.

My husband and I were vacationing in San Francisco for our 1 year anniversary. I had searched far and wide for the best steakhouse for our anniversary date. Through several recommendations, we decided on Ruth's Chris. We were greated promptly at the door and seated in a booth with a candle and a card. The card was from the host staff, wishing us a wonderful evening on our anniversary. How Sweet! We ordered a bottle of red wine, which their list is very extensive, and started out with the crab stuffed mushrooms. These were sooooo tasty! On to our steaks and sides. My husband had the strip steak and I had the ribeye. They were both served on a warm plate and cooked to perfection. We also ordered the asparagus and mashed potatoes; the potatoes were so creamy and perfect. The manager that evening also came by and wished us a happy anniversary as well. Overall, our experience was great and would highly recommend to everyone.

I like this place. O.K it is expensive and the side dishes are extra and well it will cost you here but... the steak is great. Lots of butter and fat and heart clogging great tasting steak baby! I saw Rush Limbaugh here, in San Francisco no less. He probably should try Greens as on this occasion, he looked rather rotund.

It's a super fancy modern steakhouse that makes you wait forever, even with a reservation. I saw a bunch of people eating at the bar, which is one option. You really can’t go wrong with any of their steaks. They all come sizzling in butter on a heated plate. I like to share the porterhouse with my boyfriend, or eat a rib eye by myself. The steaks are grilled very well, and the beef is of excellent quality. Unfortunately, the steaks don't come with any sides. You have to order a soup, salad, and/or potato separately. If you want something crispy, get the shoestring potatoes - they are my favorite. Despite the great food, I couldn't escape the feeling that I was being ripped off. I felt myself grimacing inside as I ordered the $10 shoestring potatoes. If you're looking for great beef, and want a better deal, I would recommend the House of Prime Rib, which is only a few blocks down the street.

Mmmm, tasty steak! But some nights you can't get a table so wind up eating in the bar area. Whether your table is planned or not, the hitch is that it's often bustling and noisy, so I am not as fond of the setting as I am of the food.

T-Bone it is!
By Chia, 7/13/07
We have dined at Ruth Chris steak house in San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Beverly Hills. I would not consider seafood to be its strongest catch. However, its T-Bone steak is an experience to take home with. Wait person won't roll his eyes if you decide to share a plate. It's huge! Order it chardded on the outside. The plate comes sizzling hot. It will warm the steak as you slice it away. It can get noisy during busy hours or weekend. I wish they would honor their reservation time. We often have to wait 20 minutes even with an advance reservation. Waiting area is small unless you can squeeze into the bar. But overal, its steak is worth the wait.
