Raising the Bar of Fine Dining
My boyfriend was looking for a really nice place where he could get the best steak in the city, get some privacy while eating it, and celebrate our 4 year anniversary. His manager suggested Ruth's Chris on Van Ness. He told him that is the best place for steak and private atmosphere. Ruth's Chris seemed initially, to be one of those high class restaurants that people our age (22) tend to avoid, not because it's expensive, but because the employees always seem to be pompous and condescending. Ruth's Chris shattered that stereotype and has raised the bar of fine dining. Not only is their food absolutely delicious and mouthwatering, the service is phenomenal. All the servers are genuinely happy to serve you, and they help create a really comfortable environment regardless of whether it's your first time there or you are a veteran customer. Did I mention the food is from another world? There is no doubt in my mind that they serve the best steak in the city. When we went, after the food, drinks, and tip the bill was around $150.00. I could safely say it was the best $150 my boyfriend and I ever spent in a restaurant. So, if you are looking for a very classy restaurant sans the stuffiness Ruth's Chris your best bet.
