Since its opening in 1993, Boulevard restaurant has been hailed as one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. Created in partnership with designer Pat Kuleto, the elegant, yet warm and welcoming interior of Boulevard is the essence of the Belle Epoque style. It is a glorious setting for Chef Nancy Oakes hearty, flavorful, beautiful cuisine. American regional flavors, French influenced style, enthralling design, form the entire experience at Boulevard. Located in the heart of the San Francisco's revived waterfront area, the historic Audiffred Building is the ideal home for Boulevard. Among many wards received, Boulevard was proud to announce being granted the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant 2012.

Jan. 12, 2011...Rubber chicken.Could've bounced like a rubber ball. No taste. Ordinary pork and beef. Everything over salted! Highly overrated. EXTREMELY Lousy service. Very loud and noisy and stressful place. Limited menu. Rude waitress..very offensive...left feeling angry, disappointed, duped.

Between the appetizer and the entrees, a good 20 minutes passed. The entrees were luke warm and not cooked properly. They were sent back and came back re-heated, probably under some heating devices. In addition, we were exposed to some strange fumes from the kitchen which we never experienced before. Stay away from tables that are in the middle of the restaurant right across from the kitchen. In all it was a major disappointment when you have to pay $35 for an entree and $12 for a glass of wine.

What an experience! The atmosphere is elegant without the snooty-ness. Each course severed was amazing ans the pairings of different flavor profiles was nothing sort of delicious. When was the last time you said, 'wow those beets were phenomenal!' ? To those who say its over-priced for what you get... It was worth ever penny of the 300 bill for four!

First Stop on my Return to San Francisco: It has been a long time since I dined at a resturant where after you recieved the bill you felt as though you had received a total dining experience. It started at the door, moved to the bar and into the dningroom. The Martini's were great, the filet with soft-shelled crab was special and the dessert was a dream My hat's off to the owner and his team, they made the evening, with my family, an evening to remember. Thank you.

The food was great, the atmosphere was so, so, and the service was somewhat. But keep an eye on your tab they will pimp it.

baaaaaaaaaaaa best food in the city, arguably. not a dull dish in the place bring your cash and visa just in case your visa maxes out. try the 1977 grahams with desert.... oh chef oakes has nice rack

I don't want to bore you with the details so here goes......our waiter Bret was great, we took his recomendations on everything and had the most delicious meal ever. The place is huge, so I am amazed that every dish came out perfectly prepared and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Tables were a little close together, but that is because so many people want to eat there. We went on a wednesday and the place was packed. Don't be stupid, make a reservation even if you call the hour before you go! Beautiful scene, lovely staff, amazing food, pleanty of parking.......GO!

Terrific food, the service can be hit or miss

I've never had a bad meal here (the duck is magnifique), but I've had friends who had bad experiences with slow/indifferent service. The interior is gorgeous, with exquisite light fixtures and French accents throughout. It is very close to the waterfront and Justin Herman Plaza for post-dinner strolls. The perfect date night!
