Since its opening in 1993, Boulevard restaurant has been hailed as one of the best restaurants in San Francisco. Created in partnership with designer Pat Kuleto, the elegant, yet warm and welcoming interior of Boulevard is the essence of the Belle Epoque style. It is a glorious setting for Chef Nancy Oakes hearty, flavorful, beautiful cuisine. American regional flavors, French influenced style, enthralling design, form the entire experience at Boulevard. Located in the heart of the San Francisco's revived waterfront area, the historic Audiffred Building is the ideal home for Boulevard. Among many wards received, Boulevard was proud to announce being granted the James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant 2012.
hmm..i've nothing to say about the food..it was alright..but i gotta give them prop on their service..i went in there with a T-shirt, a pair of ripped up jeans and sandles looking cheap and all and the people still treated me fairly..although some did give me the eyes..
This place is awful! For all the hype, you would think that there would be something worth liking- no such luck! We went there for a nice family birthday dinner, and got bad service, and even worse food. My parents love salty food, and even they couldnt stomach the amount of salt in the salmon dish. The soups and salads were mediocre, and definitely not worth the price. This is a place to go to show off/lose your money- not to eat good food!
My family and I had an exquisite experience on our first visit to Boulevard. The decor is captivating from the moment you step inside the door. The menu is outstanding and the food delicious and creative. Wonderful ambiance and service. We had an extremely enjoyable evening at Boulevard.
On my second visit I took my sister to Boulevard for lunch. Again, we had delicious food, beautifully presented, a creative combination of tastes.
I love this restaurant and so do most of the people of SF since it is voted a favorite almost every year in the Zagat guide.
Jan. 12, 2011...Rubber chicken.Could've bounced like a rubber ball. No taste. Ordinary pork and beef. Everything over salted!
Highly overrated. EXTREMELY Lousy service.
Very loud and noisy and stressful place. Limited menu.
Rude waitress..very offensive...left feeling angry, disappointed, duped.
Ordered some appetizer that had lobster in it. Was very yummy. Duck was also very good. Had the whole range of dress among the people there, even one group with jeans on! *gasps* Course I went at like 10, so perhaps it was a different crowd. =) Cool Christmasy decorations were up.
I don't want to bore you with the details so here goes......our waiter Bret was great, we took his recomendations on everything and had the most delicious meal ever. The place is huge, so I am amazed that every dish came out perfectly prepared and the flavors were perfectly balanced. Tables were a little close together, but that is because so many people want to eat there. We went on a wednesday and the place was packed. Don't be stupid, make a reservation even if you call the hour before you go!
Beautiful scene, lovely staff, amazing food, pleanty of parking.......GO!
This restaurant is the best I've gone so far in San Francisco. Food is tasty and unique. Service is friendly. Ambience is beatiful and warm. They have a good selection of wines. And in the ending, the desserts are awesome. Well, it is a little pricey compared to other restaurants, but the quality is so high that I think it is a fair.
