The food at Aux Delices is much better than the decor. Some find the pink walls an eyesore, others like the rustic look of exposed ceiling beams and skylights. The affordability factor attracts a mixed clientele. This eatery offers a long menu with over 50 dishes including tons of meat and vegetarian dishes, as well as salads, appetizers, soups and noodles. Play it safe with simple dishes like Marinated Chicken Filets sauteed in butter and garlic. For something more adventurous, try the roasted chicken stuffed with sweet rice, chicken, ground pork, mushrooms and onions or the Thai-style Beef Curry with coconut milk.
Great food, usually can get a table without a terribly long wait and great service. It's a bit of a neighborhood place, but that's a big reason I like it. I love their noodle dishes and my friends always enjoy the Vietnamese coffee.
I was very surprised that I lived in the city for 3 years and never noticed this gem. I have frequented Le Colonial, Slanted Door,Thanh Long, Tamarind, Crustacean, and Golden Turtle and all the while wondering why there is no other restaurant offers this type of food without breaking my bank account and 3 weeks reservation in advanced. Aux delice is definitely the answer for this. their garlic noodle is comparable to Thanh Long (Thanh Long still has a slight edge) and definitely very reasonably priced. Their vietnamese crepe is very unique and tasty. Their caramel salmon is delicious. My only complaint is the parking. Parking in this place is impossible. Cant wait to go back to this place.
My husband and I visit San Francisco 7-8 times a year. Every time we visit this lovely city, we make sure that we have lunch and dinner at this restaurant. The service is great. I usually would order the chicken strips bbq which comes with steamed rice, soup and the FAMOUS TO DIE FOR IMPERIAL ROLLS!!!!! You will never go wrong with the imperial wrongs!!! The best ever!!!! And not to forget the fish sauce that comes with the imperial rolls...yummy!!!!
This was our first time here and after eating, we were sorry that we had not tried the place sooner. There is a great variety of dishes and the food was fresh, reasonably healthy, and delicious. The quality and service was excellent and the prices were very fair. I will definitely come back again and I recommend this restaurant.
aux delices is a semi-nicey vietnamese restaurant in the marina (nice enough to have a group dinner, not really nice enough to bring a date). food is super reasonable and overall pretty tasty. plenty of vegetarian and seafood options. there's an okay wine list too.
