Since moving to Sunnyvale, I find myself seeing many places to eat, with many cultural differences. I had hoped to find the one pasta place to go when I was craving alfredo with any kind of pasta. The noodles were gummy and soft. I was looking for al dente. The sauce was bland with no taste. I had to add a ton of parmesan cheese to bring some flavor to it. The garlic bread with cold, and too salty. The tiramisu dessert was cookie cutter that you could get from any grocery store.
The Pasta Market is a good place to eat. Most of the items are very reasonable. I had the linguini with clam sauce and it was very good. Just wish the portions were large enough. Though it did include garlic bread, which is a good thing. Only ate a couple of bites of the garlic bread before declaring that I was full and could not eat any more.
It is a very good place to go to for very reasonable Italian food. Just do not order any of the premier items on their menu, which costs too much.
Went to The Pasta Market in Sunnyvale with a party of 5. Ordered calamari, soup, salad, mushroom lasagna and linguine portofino. Nice, big portions. The portofino was EXCELLENT (if you like seafood) and so was the lasagna. The calamari was good, also. The clam chowder was not the best, but I am a little picky when it comes to that. The minestrone was very good with fresh pasta in it. I've been to many, many Italian restaurants that were more expensive and not nearly as tasty. Overall, it was a great meal for the price. Highly recommended!
Dinner for 2, take out. Place was clean and presentable. All varieties of pasta cooked and uncooked for take out or eating there. We ordered Angel hair with pesto, and meat sauce. The pesto did not have enough flavor, but was definitely fresh, maybe needed a little more spice to it. The meat sauce was good, a little light on the meat for meat lovers, otherwise, just enough. Each serving was about $5-6, I feel it was a good deal. Comes with Garlic bread, a plus in my book. I will definitely go back, to either grab uncooked pasta or quick take out. I really like the concept of this restaurant, go check it out for yourself!
