Don Ramon's Mexican Restaurant, San Francisco

I went here a couple of months ago and my two guests said their margarita's were great but the food was so so. I had the Chile Rojo and it was the worst I have ever eaten

Don Ramon's is one of my all time favorite resturants and has been for well over 12 years! the have great food, service and the best daquiri's!! the shrimp is excellent!!

I LOVE Don Ramon's! My partner and I have been going here for 16 years, and the food keeps getting better! The service is amazing! Chris, the host, is hilarious! Lucy and Leo, the owners, are super friendly. They make you feel like family!

The food at Don Ramon's is really not authentic. I ordered some chicken fajitas which were barely cooked. I ordered a Pina Colada cause I wanted something different. All I could taste was the alcohol and not the pina in it. For the amount of money I spent there I could have spent it at Celia's which has food with better taste and more authentic.

Although Don Ramon's serves the standard Mexican-American fare, with the exception of a few outstanding specialities, it is without a doubt the best in class. The food is FRESH, including the superb guacamole, the chips are crispy, and the margaritas are divine (with a long list of tequilas to choose from.) The waitstaff is friendly and efficient. The restaurant is not overly loud during peak hours. Parking is available in the neighborhood, since it is not near mega-tourist areas. As an aside, I've been eating at Don Ramon's for many years and the food, margaritas and service have ALWAYS been consistent.

The restaurant is suberbly run with service as a key component to the excellent food and margaritas. It is standard Mexican-American fare with house specialities that shine: Camarones Rancheros (spicy!) and Crab Enchiladas. I have been going to Don Ramon's for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. The food is fresh, the sauces superb, and the margaritas are the best and reasonably priced. The restaurant is family owned and operated. The staff is courteous, friendly, and accomplished. What more can I say?! GO now and feast!!!

The enchilada sauce was the the best I've ever had.The H,eavy Jays' margaritas was just that Heavy and delicious.The decor was fabulous,the wait staff aws great and Manny and Del mixes some good drinks.For the price it's more than worth it.

It's very simple. The food is the best! The service is very quick and the drinks are good. Did I mention that the food is the best!

I love this restaurant! The food is excellent, the staff is friendly and efficient - and remembers us whenever we drop by for dinner. My only complaint is that if there aren't enough bodies in this large-ish restaurant it can sometimes feel chilly. That, however, is quickly remedied with one of their top shelf gold margaritas! It's a very family-friendly restaurant, and the staff is careful to arrange and seat their customers so that adults-only parties and families can enjoy a comfortable experience all the way around. I wish they were open on Mondays...
