Can you say cheese cake? The CF in San Francisco is the best one around. We were there last weekend and the food is awesome. We got a cheese cake and it was outragously good. This place gets super crowded, so go early for lunch or dinner, otherwise you'll be standing around waiting to get seated.
The sunday brunch menu is great. Plan to arrive early on Sunday 10:30-1100, then wait is not a problem. They serve a great Bloody Mary and a delicious cafet latte !!!!
I have tried the specialties on the french toast with the brioche bread, very delicious and the asparagus omelete.
This restaurant is fairly overpriced! The food is just average. The ambience is quite nice. You have a nice view over Union Square especially at night!
We had to wait nearly an hour. Becaused we expected something special and didn
Of course, cheesecakes are the first thing to be metioned. There are about 30 different kinds of cheesecakes are offered. My best pick is Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake -- very smooth and tasty choloates, good texture. Entries are also nicely prepared and presented. Anything from pasta, pizza, and steaks are delicious.
One bad thing about this place is the wait time, if you are going for dinner on a weekend night....expect to wait for an hour or more. My record for a party of 8 is 2hours.
If you realyl want to eat here, expect long hours of wait on teh weekends or friday nights..... location location location is definitely true to success. Food was okay but teh view from the patio is pretty cool with some company.
there is nothing special about the cheesecake factory except for the great decor and atmosphere of the restaurant. though pirices are cheap and range from about 15-20 dollars, it is definitely not worth it. the food is not bad, but it isnt so good its worth 15 dollars, which isnt a lot of money in the first place.
there are many other places downtown that are priced in the same range but much better tasting.
Ok, after you realize you have just waited over an hour for chain food...you get irritated with yourself. The Cheesecake Factory is completely over rated. Its best to take your country friend who has always heard about the restaurant chain but never been to one. Suffer through it and keep your order simple. you will not be amazed but not completely disappointed. The orders come out quickly and they really want you to leave as soon as possible so they can sit the other irritated people who have been waiting for up to 2 hours for this food that could have been made at home.
