The Cheesecake Factory, San Francisco

I come here to rest my feet at the bar- have an ice tea- maybe watch a little sports on the tube- while my wife shops. That's it. If you like chain restaurants- I suppose it can't get any higher. If you are in for a SF dining experience- don't come here unless you absolutely have to take a peak at Union Square from the balcony.

I went with my sister around 4pm on Tuesday. Ordered the daily special of grilled salmon with side of fries and steamed broccoli. As I was cutting the broccoli into bite sizes I notice a cluster of insects and there eggs towards the top of the broccoli. I asked the server if she knew what was in there she said she has no clues. I asked her to remover her sunglasses and take a look and she said she'll get the manager right over. She takes my plate and sends over the manager and the manger said he didnt see anything and that he went throughly with his hands and found nothing. He was lying through his thick bi focals. He didnt charge me for my meal, which I wouldnt mind paying for I just felt that if he had apoligize that would have solved my concern about them not properly rinsing the vegetables. I've been to the one located in Newport and I have never had problems there. It's just the one in San Francisco. Atmosphere is great but the waiters out side in the balcony are snotty and have poor customer service. Beware of your next bite of broccoli.

No JOKE! I ate at the Palo Alto location and had the Spicy Chicken Sanwich. When I bit into the chicken some chicken poo shot out! It was the most repulsive thing I have ever encountered! This place is NASTY!

I loved the whole atmosphere. It was a little busy in there, but my sister and I managed to go straight to the bar and grab chairs. There were nice faces to look at and great food. The service was wonderful as well!

Everything on the menu is superb. after their meals you must try there famous Cheesecake. You will see why they have their name as the Cheesecake Factory. You also get to see a little bit of San Francisco culture.

Ok, after you realize you have just waited over an hour for chain food...you get irritated with yourself. The Cheesecake Factory is completely over rated. Its best to take your country friend who has always heard about the restaurant chain but never been to one. Suffer through it and keep your order simple. you will not be amazed but not completely disappointed. The orders come out quickly and they really want you to leave as soon as possible so they can sit the other irritated people who have been waiting for up to 2 hours for this food that could have been made at home.

Of course, cheesecakes are the first thing to be metioned. There are about 30 different kinds of cheesecakes are offered. My best pick is Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake -- very smooth and tasty choloates, good texture. Entries are also nicely prepared and presented. Anything from pasta, pizza, and steaks are delicious. One bad thing about this place is the wait time, if you are going for dinner on a weekend night....expect to wait for an hour or more. My record for a party of 8 is 2hours.

The Cheesecake factory located in San Francisco is a restaurant worth experiencing. To get to the restaurant you must take elevators up to the top floor where it is located. The restaurant has an outside patio of which you can see all of Union Square and lot of San Francisco. Everything on the menu is superb, at least everything I have tried there. If you room in your stomach after their meals you must try there famous Cheesecake. You will see why they have their name as the Cheesecake Factory. You also get to see a little bit of San Francisco culture inside the restaurant.
