best kept secret in the 'tandoorloin'
The tenderloin area of downtown SF has become quite a mecca for curry lovers in the city. there must be at least a dozen places now opersating in hte streets around o'farrel, jones and eddy. Shalimar is still tops in my book, but Punjab is really starting to give them a run for their money. truth be told, i think they might actually be better in the nan-department and there are a few curries which are completely wicked. add to it the fact that the place is never packed (yet) and has self-serve beer in the fridge, and you have a winning combination. i think i might just swing by tonight for dinner. yum.
