Blondies Pizza

Description

Blondie's Pizza is a tiny, no-frills storefront that serves slices to go that are also no-frills, but are huge. The toppings are limited to the classics cheese, pepperoni and such, but they are tasty, filling, and ready when you are. The line of locals on their lunch break and tourists looking for a quick bite between sightseeing stops gets longer at peak hours, but there is enough steady business all day to keep the pizza fresh and the prices low. Call for details.

Great pizza joint! I come here all the time for the pepperoni. I'd recommend it to everyone.

I've eaten here so often, almost a must stop when shopping downtown. I love their bbq chicken, pesto special.

Blondies is, at best, mediocre. I've lived here for almost twenty years and while Blonides may be some of the better pizza to be had in the Bay Area, it's still pretty darned mediocre. In fact, the only complaint I have about Northern California is that there's no GREAT pizza (though Amici's might be the closest to great).

I AM A SAN FRANCISCO NATIVE AND WE ALL EAT BLONDIES. YOU CANNOT GO DOWNTOWN AND NOT GET A SLICE OF BLONDIES. IT'S ALWAYS CROWDED AND CRAZY BUT IT'S PART OF THE EXPERIENCE. IF YOU WANNA FEEL LIKE A NATIVE THEN YOU GOTTA EAT SOME BLODIES. I AM GETTING HOME SICK WRITING ALL THESE REVIEWS. I BEEN IN ATLANTA AND I CAN'T WAIT TO COME HOME AND EAT SOME BLONDIES, DRINK SOME STRAWBERRY FRESCA FROM LA TAQUERIA WITH SOME FAJITAS SEE THE LOVELY BAY AND ENJOY THE CITY BREEZE I MISS MY CITY.

Mmmmmm... I am going to San Francisco on the 24th of this month with some friends that have never gone. My only request is that we go to Blondie's... that is how amazing it is. The best pizza I have ever consumed, and I've been to the so-called pizza capitals of the U.S. Chicago, New York and nothing compares.

I just came from Blondies Pizza on Powel Street and have had one of the most offensive experiences in years. I am the typical customer, to apathetic to make the extra effort of complaining about bad service but, this time I must speak out – and it didn’t even happen to me. Today I was in line getting my order (Order #1381281 if anyone from Blondies is paying attention) when a well dressed Asian woman came up and told one of the staff that she didn’t get two of the pizzas she ordered, she was a little anxious as most customers can be at times. The cashier helping me, a short 30 something Asian women, out of no where sounded off “I told you that they would be ready in 5 minutes.” Her tone and the way she scowled at the lady even had me step back and I’m a 250# guy. There was a little back and forth with the cashier’s viciousness way over the charts. When the ladies two pizzas were ready, the cashier literally threw them into a box and violently smacked the box on the counter yelling, “Here your pizza.” There was a young girl who appeared to be being trained by the cashier from hell’s customer service agency and while this was going on she stepped back and was just as shocked as I was. The young girl quietly told the cashier that the customer looked mad; the cashier yelled out “I don’t care if she mad!” I finished my order and was completely satisfied with my meal but, the experience left me with a terrible taste. I was disappointed that I did not turn around and leave after watching the Lady get accosted. I feel as though I witnessed a mugging. I know complaining will do little and I will not say that I will not go back to Blondies – I do love their pizza. But I will hesitate to recommend it to a friend or visiting guests for fear of what lays in wait. In support of all of us who have been the victims of abusive service, it will be a long time before I return to Blondies and even then it will be with hesitation. For those in the service industry that have been victimized by customers I will continue to offer 20% tip or higher for good service. For my friends in the service industry that feel it is not part of their job to be polite to customers and typically only offer the very basic level of service I will stop or minimize my patronage of your places of business as I encourage others to do with Blondies. We are all too often the victims of such abuse but, are unable to do much about the practices of large companies such as banks, airlines, cable companies, etc. This is why it is important for us to speak out and encourage our friends to stop or minimize the patronage of the places we can impact such as restaurant and other small stores that truly do not deserve good customers. At the same time it gives us the opportunity to find other equally good establishments that include customer service in their business plan. Every little bit we each do or do not do will affect how much we are able to enjoy our city. If you see it happening to someone else, rest assured your next.

On our trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco we found the best pizza ever. Their spicy pepperoni is the best. We loved it!

Pizza's Haven

This is pure San Francisco Pizza. FOOD: Awesome taste, just the way I like it. Lots of gooey, delicious cheese. Soft tender crusts. Delicious Pepperoni, and in the right amounts. Lots of variety, Combo, Pepperoni, Cheese.. Thick, huge slices! SERVICE: Ok. When it's hectic, it's hectic, what are you going to do? AMBIANCE: Pure San Francisco spot. Lively, downstairs sit in, awesome. VALUE: Half the reason why I come here: Slices are reasonably cheaper than other spots I've been to starting at about $3.00 per slice and that slice will fill you up. I LOVE BLONDIE'S
