Not that great for the money. I ve eaten here a few times and once I got a hard taco in a combo plate and half of the shell was soggy and fell apart- like they had the plate sit there for 15 minutes before serving me. I motioned for the waitress several times and she never came over. I finally flagged the owner down (who is not very friendly) and politely asked her for another taco. She started to argue with me and then her friend, an old man (who said he doesn t even work there, just helps out- Raul, I think his name is) came over and started threatening me not to argue with the owner. What audacity, he had a big mouth and had no business talking to me- lucky I am too mature or I would have kicked his butt. Also the chimichangas are about 1 inch wide (I think those should be sold as taquitos) and not worth it. If you want good Mexican food at a good price, go across the street to the taqueria across the street- much better.
This is a home spun family restaurtant that serves traditional excellent Mexican food in a friendly style. The food is certainly traditional so if you are looking for Novelle traqueria style food forget about it. This is the way it is supposed to be. Excellent, actually probably the gold standard.
hmm no. Ordered a super ground beef burrito, has no taste, its kinda wack, theres people in there getting drunk during lunch, like i ordered my burrito right, it came out in like 2 min, did they have it ready already? makes u wonder...anyways, avoid this place at all cost.
I know what it looks like when you get there, its dingy and small... inconspicuous looking.. but don't judge it by its looks! The service is great and the food, likewise! Only tip, order jalapeños with the food, they seem to be missing with most courses. I would certainly recommend it.
We have been coming here for years because of the food & the staff. We feel like family & always enjoy ourselves. The Chile Rellenos are the best & there are many other great items on the menu to choose from. The Caliente Burger gets rave reviews from everyone & you have your choice of how spicy you want it. The French Fries are wonderful too. They also have a complete bar, take-out, catering, outside seating when the weather permits, etc. They are open all day starting with breakfast & close around 9:00 PM or so. They are closed on Sunday's. We have also had many get togethers & small parties there. Many of the patrons come back again & again. We would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to have an enjoyable meal & great service....Julio & Susie
