Mayflower Seafood Restaurant, Millbrae

Great dim sum, with better than your standard choices. We've only been to Hong Kong Flower Lounge on Sundays for dim sum, but it's good enough to bring us back. That being said, it's very crowded and if you're going to go, get there before 11:30 or be prepared to wait for 45 minutes shoulder to shoulder. Once you get seated, the food is plentiful and quick, though the staff is a bit overstressed and rather slow to bring items you request (silverware, extra drinks, etc.).

Just get in for a three months engagement. On my first day at work, my ABC co-worker took me to this temple like restaurant. We had shrimp dumpling, pork siu mai, turnip cake, fried taro gor, cheung fun, poach chinese vegetable and Combo pan-fried noodles. Not so crazy about any of them. The dumplings and cheung fun skin are too thick, the food taste in general are too bland. Unlike them, I do not put soy or chili sauce in any of my food because they supposed to be tasty by themselves. I was turn off when most of the food are only luke warm. I like my dim sum piping hot (from the steamer and fryer). No wonder they no longer have any branch in Hong Kong. Got to find some place good fast!
