The beer here is okay. I tend to be a Guinness drinker and the darks here are not quite up to snuff. The entries tend to be a bit pricey for a brewery. I typically end up getting one of the appetizer platters as my main meal. Last time I went there, the waiter took 30 minutes to give us our bill after we were done eating and never asked about dessert. It wasn't crowded at all.
A great microbrewery!
The selection is tasty, I would recommend try the trip around the world!
Mai Boch is my favorite beer they brew, unfortunately it is only brewed occasionally.
The food is a bit shy on selection, they need to broaden their menu a bit. The wild game burgers and sausages are wonderful choices.
I wish I had read the reviews here before I went, but it was a last minute decision....very pleasant waitress but my turkey burger was almost inedible - it was so burned and dried out it could have been any meat....I would have been ashamed to serve this at home and certainly expected more from a restaurant. Seeing as I don't even drink beer, I will not be returning for their food....a fast food burger would have been more enjoyable than this effort.
The waitress was pleasant and accommodating. however, I gave this two stars because the food is not that good (the beer is OK). I ordered the Club sandwich and the bread was not fresh. The bread had a 'freezer-burn' taste to it. Actually, when I think about it, food is terrible at all the brewery restaurants I've been to. If you want to go here, I suggest only going for the beer. There are tons of better restaurants in the area if food is what you are looking for.
Great amber and pale ales. Greasy, pricey pub food. Nice atmosphere, inside and outside. Excellant 5 or 6pm place to hang and meet.
Warning-- Mtn. View P.D. is across the parking lot and does keep a wary eye out for guys/gals stumbling out to their cars after a few too many pints, so if you're stupid enough to make a bad decision, there's a good chance they'll stop you first, for all of our sake.
A better place for the beer, than the food. If you want appetizers and suds, this is a pretty good place. The dinner entrees are pretty mediocre. Given that this is Mountain View’s only brew house, it’s long been a favorite destination for locals, but I wouldn’t classify the restaurant as 4 star any day of the week. Seasonal beers there are my favorite, especially in the winter when they brew more full bodied beers like their Christmas Bock. They have a covered patio that can accommodate large parties, which is always good for the birthday party or large get together.
