My family and I tried this place today. We're not from the area but decided to try it based on Yahoo reviews since we're in Pacifica. We really enjoyed it!! This was definitely one of the better Japanese restaurants I've eaten at. We had the sushi combo dinner and were surprised to try some fish & sushi that we've never had before. And, they were excellent!! I wish I could remember what kind of fish it was because I'd like to try to get it at places in my neck of the woods. I would definitely recommend going here. In fact, we may find a reason to come out to Pacifica just to eat here again.
Been to scores of Japanese restaurants around the bay, but this place is still my favorite. Food is always good, service is always friendly. The salad dressing is nothing short of miraculous, probably the best miso style dressing I've ever had, and seafood there is always as fresh as the sea itself. Be sure to ask the owner behind the counter what he recommends.
I've never heard of anything like the poor review, heck, most of the staff in there know 80% of the customers by name.
We heard good things about this place, but ended up standing around unseated for over 20 minutes during a weekday with numerous seats available! The waitressess/hostess were good at ignoring us and never bothered to seat us, even after several eye contacts. So out the door we went... I guess they have all the business they need... Sayionara to this hole in the wall...
Believe it or not, this is one of the best Japanese restaurants in the bay area. The sushi is extremely fresh and well-prepared by a master chef. Utmost attention is paid to the quality of the fish and preparation of dishes. My favorites include the Uni, monk fish liver, and the spider roll. Menu includes a delectible list of daily specials.
Restaurant is off the beaten path. Have lived here 8 years without discovering it. Quiet, attentive, helpful service. Tablecloths and tableware pristine. Diverse cooked and sushi menu. Great sake selections. Specials take advantage of fesh seafood available.
In spite of its chain restaurant status, McCormick and Kuleto is a sprawling, brightly lit seafood house and is one
of the most popular restaurants in Ghirardelli Square . Tourists and locals happily feast on an enormous selection of ...
