Good food, good service

First of all, the service is near perfect. The food is not bad either :) Not knowing there were other alternatives (we were only given a single menu choice), we went for 'Menu Gastronomique' which looked very very good (You pick one course from each section). This is the type of menu/restaurant where you will be given a tiny ice cream or frozen fruit cup to take the palate of previous course off before the next meal is served. Obviously, you shouldn't expect large plates, but at the end you will be completely satisfied, if not full or tipsy :). Expect to pay $250+ for two including wine and champagne.

An Enormous Flop, Missing Chef

Amateur cooking justifying neither the pretense nor the price, laughably poor. Abrupt incomprehensible service with such glaring gaffes as either being absent altogether or serving the chef's amuse gueule by just tossing it on top of the askew wine menu before taking the wine order: a dried-out cream puff shell injected with a strange fishy substance. Stale dried bread, dried-out duck, poorly blended unappetizing sauces. Unfortunately, with the departure of supposed wunderkind chef Joshua Skenes, a total reorganization of the kitchen and concept is necessary. You can't charge exorbitant prices for this food. I had to spend the entire evening apologizing to my guest on what was supposed to have been a scintillating celebratory experience. Disgraceful.

excellent nouveau french food...pricey...portions are tiny...don't go here if you are hungry...prix fixe menu...it's in a converted house so it's intimate but takes a little getting used to (especially if the person sitting on the next table speaks loud)...l'amie donia was better (but now is gone)

Lovely atmosphere, friendly professional staff, but the food here is the real highlight. If you know food, you will really appreciate the quality and craftsmanship coming out of this kitchen. I had a rabbit dish that was inspired, incredible venison dish and creative, flavorful dessert. It was like eating art.

Costly but well worth it. Food comes in many small courses. Building is a beautiful old house.
